Have you ever seen a kid on the checkout counter in a Walmart?

It’s either drooling over the chocolate it has just ‘convinced’ her mom to buy or it’s trying to do that.

The kid has no fear. It has no doubt about her mom’s ability to buy it for her.

Neither does it going to budge if her mom is not buying it for her.

The child will cry, cajole or coax her mom into buying the chocolate for her.

So what does it has to do with fear of rejection?

1. Get the right attitude. The world is not fair. The marketplace is not fair. Neither is the small world around you is fair.

So what to do? Accept it and start moving. That is the right attitude to have. When you expect the world around you to be unfair, you are not going to be disappointed.

2. Get Ready For a Barrage of Nos. When you expect a no, you don’t have anything to be worried. Strange? May be.

Is it a worthwhile advice? Yes, by large means. You can always expect the law of averages to work out in your favor. A series of ‘no’s will lead to the ultimate ‘yes’ that you want.

3. Get ready to face fear. When you face fear head on, what do you have to fear?

You may also have heard about the saying ‘Action is the antidote to fear’

4. Get Ready To Deflect Your No. When someone says ‘no, they are not saying no to you the person. They are saying no to the product or the proposal you bring in.

When you work on your product or the proposal, you may be able to get the ‘yes’ that you are after.

5. Get Ready To Work On Your Persuasion Skills. When you work on your fear of rejection, you’ll do well if you work on your persuasion skills.

If you can persuade someone to accept your proposition, you have effectively eliminated the fear that you may be rejected.

Fear of rejection does not affect you in a single day. It was caused because of the trauma and the abuse you have suffered as a kid.

Since it works in your unconscious mind, you have to do something to influence it.

The software referred in the resource box may be able to help you if you give it a try.
